Kaddy picks lock when the event begins. Once the tournament is locked, submitted picks are final and league members can no longer change that event selection.
Why pick locks matter
A One & Done league only works when everyone plays by the same deadline. Pick locks prevent members from waiting for early scores, late withdrawals, or leaderboard movement before making a decision.
Before lock
- Review the tournament field.
- Check which golfers are available in your league.
- Submit your pick.
- Change your pick if you want to before the event locks.
After lock
After the event locks, your pick is set for that tournament. Kaddy keeps current picks private until lock so members cannot copy or react to another player before the deadline.
Commissioner guidance
Commissioners should remind members of the deadline early in the week, especially for events that start outside a normal Thursday morning rhythm. The cleaner the deadline, the fewer questions the league has later.
The safest habit is simple: make your Kaddy pick as soon as you have a golfer you like, then revisit it before lock if news changes.
